The wine is the
least of what we grow.
Terroir is a French word that means the complete natural environment in which a wine is produced — the soil, the topography, the climate, the hands that tend it. We take that literally.
Since 1987, this estate has been a continuous experiment in growing better land. The wine is evidence of that work. Every bottle you taste here carries the logic of a farm that thinks in generations, not vintages.

Regenerative Soil Health
Cover crops between every row. No synthetic herbicides since 2009. The soil that grew our 1961 Grenache is richer today than when those vines were planted.
Local Employment
Every harvest hand, tasting room host, and cellar worker lives within 18 miles of the estate. We've employed three generations of the same four families.
Solar & Water Stewardship
The winery runs on 100% solar since 2019. Drip irrigation fed by three on-site retention ponds. We use 40% less water per ton of fruit than the county average.
What people say
after they turn in.
"We'd driven past the sign for three years. Finally turned in on our anniversary. The barrel room changed how we think about wine entirely — our host drew directly from a 2022 that won't be released until next spring. We ordered a case on the spot."
Margot & Daniel Reyes
10th Anniversary · Petaluma, CA
"I've booked corporate retreats at a dozen Sonoma properties. Terroir is the only one where my team actually talked about the place for weeks afterward. The viticulturist walked us through soil samples and explained why 2023 tasted different from 2019. My CFO is still talking about it."

Patrick Okafor
Corporate Retreat · 14 guests · San Francisco, CA
"I bought the gift experience for my parents' retirement trip. My mother called me from the tasting table to say it was the best afternoon of their entire trip through wine country. That call was worth every penny of the ticket."
